Pasco County Uses Florida VINE
The Pasco Sheriff's Office Victim Resources page confirms the county's role in VINE. It also lists the toll-free number (877) 846-3435. You can also reach the service online through VINELink. Florida materials describe free access by web, phone, or mobile service.
Think of VINE as a notification layer sitting on top of custody data. It is not the Pasco County Corrections Jail Management Center. It does not replace that booking source. Turn to VINE when you need to know whether one known person is still held. Or rely on it when an alert about a change would help. Turn to JMC for a fresh county booking, a booking number, or charge detail. It also covers bond and an official booking photo. The official Pasco victim-resources source lays out the county's connection to the program.

This county source should be checked before relying on descriptions from an outside service.
Search Pasco County VINELink
Have enough identifying detail ready, since several people can share one name. Vendor screens change over time, so follow the labels in front of you rather than a memorized sequence. Pick Florida, then choose Pasco County or the right facility if the site asks.
- Open VINELink and select Florida as the state.
- Choose the Pasco County or county-jail search context when the interface offers that choice.
- Enter the person’s name or an offender or booking identifier when available.
- Compare birth date or other displayed identity details before accepting a match.
- Read the facility and custody status, then confirm time-sensitive information through the county jail source.
An empty first pass is common. Try a middle name, a suffix, or a different spelling, since any of these can throw off the match. A recent booking may not have posted yet either. Don't force a near-match into a confirmed identity. When VINE returns several possibilities, compare every identifier shown, then verify the winner at the official Pasco JMC. The VINELink search screen is the current entry point for the Florida and Pasco selection.

This interface searches for a specific person. It does not list or gallery county bookings.
Pasco VINELink Custody Results
Result fields vary with the current VINELink interface and whatever data the participating system supplies. Treat each value as a custody update, and confirm anything critical directly with the office.
| Result item | What it can answer |
|---|---|
| Name and identifier | Helps distinguish the intended person from a similar name. |
| Custody status | Indicates the status VINE last received; it may lag a recent change. |
| Facility | Identifies the reported holding location or system. |
| Release event | May state that custody ended, but does not explain the court outcome. |
| Transfer event | Signals movement to another facility or custodial authority. |
| Notification options | Shows available phone, email, or text registration choices. |
VINE shows custody, not a final court outcome. It is not a mugshot repository either. A release can happen while a case continues. A transfer can move the person into another custody system. The Pasco County recent arrests hub maps the separate jail, court, and records paths.
- Custody status
- The reported state of confinement at the latest system update.
- Transfer
- Movement between facilities or authorities, not a release.
- Disposition
- The court’s resolution of a charge, which VINE does not decide.
- PIN
- A private code used to confirm receipt of telephone alerts.
Register for Pasco Custody Alerts
Register only after you have found the right person. Florida guidance allows phone, email, and text destinations. The exact menu can vary. Pick channels you check often and that are safe for you. Keep the contact details and the PIN out of public posts and records requests.
- Open the notification or registration control from the matched record.
- Choose each supported event and delivery channel that fits the need.
- Enter the phone number, email address, or text destination requested by the service.
- Create a four-digit telephone PIN and store it in a private place.
- Complete any confirmation step and test that the contact details are correct.
The PSO victim-rights brochure notes that calls can keep coming for up to 48 hours. They continue until the right PIN is entered. That PIN proves the message reached you. Avoid codes someone close to you could guess. Multiple contacts may be an option, which helps when one channel gets missed. The VINELink registration route opens the vendor's alert sign-up screen.

Complete the live instructions because fields and supported delivery methods can change.
Pasco County VINE Alert Events
Pasco's program materials list release, transfer, escape, and death among the custody events that can trigger notice. Each alert answers a different question. A release notice means the person is no longer held under the reported custody event. A transfer notice means custody continues somewhere else. Escape and death notices involve major changes. Verify either one through the agency before acting on it.
Alerts are not safety guarantees. PSO materials say plainly not to rely on VINE alone. Build your own safety plan where it matters. Keep agency and court contacts close at hand. Call emergency services for any immediate threat, because the notification system is not a dispatch line, even though operators answer the phone service.
Fresh Pasco Arrests May Lag
A booking fresh off an arrest may hit JMC before it hits VINE. The public systems may simply update on different schedules. Pasco publishes no guaranteed VINE sync time. If the person does not appear soon after an arrest, search the official JMC In Custody route and compare name, date of birth, booking number, and booking time.
The county's Past Arrests and In Custody routes also answer distinct questions. Past Arrests records the booking event itself. In Custody gives a current snapshot. VINE layers status and alerts on top once data arrive. So an empty VINE result does not rule out an arrest, and an old notification does not lock in the present state.
For the narrow intake window, Arrests Last 24 Hours fits best. If JMC still shows nothing, call the arresting agency or the PSO records unit with a focused description rather than trusting a third-party page.
Pasco VINELink Coverage Boundaries
Florida VINE tracks two populations: county-jail inmates and people held by the Florida Department of Corrections, whether locked up or on supervision. That range sounds broad, but it leaves out plenty. County detention, state prison, federal prison, U.S. Marshals custody, and immigration detention all run on their own systems. A federal Bureau of Prisons record will not show here. Neither will an ICE custody result.
Movement between systems creates its own blind spots. Someone sentenced to Florida state custody can leave the Pasco jail for the Florida Department of Corrections Offender Search. Federal custody points to a federal locator. Immigration questions belong with the ICE locator. None of these tools reproduces the full Pasco booking record, so a transfer can leave one search blank while another has not caught up.
Never bridge that gap with a photograph or a physical description. Match identifiers instead. Ask the facility that reportedly holds the person. Keep the booking number or agency case number handy. System boundaries explain most empty results, and they say nothing about whether an arrest happened.
VINE Differs From PSO News
The Pasco Sheriff's Office News app handles the public-facing side of the agency. It covers alerts, press releases, events, missing-person notices, and community updates. There is no inmate lookup, booking-number search, or jail-photo tool inside it. The PSO News website is the same kind of archive, not a custody tracker. Each tool has one job. Trust the news app for public-safety announcements. Go to VINE for one person's custody events, then turn to JMC for the official Pasco jail booking and custody views. Keep those roles straight. A press release is not a complete arrest list, and a VINE alert is not a court outcome.
Verify Pasco Custody Changes
A VINE result can lag, go dark, or stumble on a name mismatch. Start with the official JMC record. If the status still looks murky, contact the facility or the victim-services channel. Court dates and outcomes belong to the Pasco Clerk, not VINE. Another custodial authority may hold the record. Switch to that authority's own locator. Arrest records shift as cases move. A release, a transfer, or continued custody can change what any single search shows.
